Like a Fairytale

Xavier found himself growing red as Octavia kissed him on the cheek and walked out the door, quietly shutting it behind her. The vaporeon stood there, rubbing his cheek, his body numb. He felt weak and faint, yet tingling with excitement, the only time he remembered he felt like this was with...Lillian...
Pausing for a second, he grabbed his coat and opened the door. A light snow fall had started to fall down, making the brown, dry grass slowly turn white. The cold air felt nice on his hot cheeks. Relieved to still see a familiar figure in the distance, he put on his coat and ran outside in his bare feet.

"OCTAVIA!" He yelled as he ran over towards her, letting out yelps of pain at the cold slush on his soles, but still running.

An ear flicked when she heard her name. Turning around, the Furret's eyes widened in bewilderment when she saw Xavier approaching her with such speed. Had she forgotten something? Was that innocent little kiss too much? Did she do something wrong? No, no, no, she had to rid these foolish thoughts! But why would he be coming at her bare-footedin the cold?!

"Ah--Xavier! What's wrong?" Octavia exclaimed as he got a little closer. She was frozen in her tracks, watching him run to her, too nervous to move. "D-Did I--?"

Finally catching up to her the vaporeon grabbed her by her waist and kissed her.

It was a short, brief kiss, nothing too extraordinary by Xavier standards, but at that moment nothing really mattered to the vaporeon. The voice, his reality, the numbness of his feet, it all went away as he kept Octavia close.
He eventually pulled himself away and looked into her green eyes.

"For the girl who remembered me." He whispered. The vaporeon then took a few steps backward from her, gave her a faint smile, turned and walked back towards his trailer.
