PERSONALITY

Strong-willed/Obstinate: Marcy is mentally strong, she isn’t afraid to work hard to get or do what she wants. She doesn’t care what’s in her way; she’ll do anything and everything to achieve her goals whether it’s a matter of persuasion or actually inserting herself into the situation at hand. It may even be considered admirable, with how steadfast she is. In many ways, her determination is a passionate light that refuses to go out. With her headstrong behavior, however, it’s just about impossible to convince her change her mind once it’s set even when she's wrong. She isn’t easily moved.

Solicitous/Two-faced: She's pleasant and likable upon first glance, and definitely to the public eye. Marcy speaks her mind and knows how to capture hearts - as in she'll speak what people what to hear in order to shine a positive light on herself and come off as solicitous. Regardless of what she'll talk up, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to consider her a hypocrite in her own way. She will selfishly use any knowledge and/or dirt against you if it’ll benefit her in any way. This woman will break a person if she sees it fit without batting a fake eyelash.

Confident/Egotistical: Marcy is unabashedly confident in herself – both to appearance and ability. She knows she’s hot stuff, and she loves her body* so she’s not afraid to be bold and flaunt it. She also knows her skill set and will apply it without hesitation – such as coordination, ability to organize and direct, and most of all the ability to take charge when she feels the need to. What she considers leading is more of commanding others to do what she wants or requires - her me-first attitude gives her the unabashed nature to run the show but it certainly isn't the fairest or best option when it comes to other's well-being. Without a doubt she will put her wellbeing above others. She does what she does so long as it profits her first.  

Professional/Cut-throat: Marcy's diligent enough to keep up with her work, and she doesn’t waste time. Despite having a flamboyant personality, she gets work done. Marcy’s keeps busy with her work, she certainly isn’t lazy. If you want to talk business with her, she’s game. Of course, because of this she feels no need to waste time, and if you waste her time while she’s on the clock then you’re out. She’ll either find a way for you to get bumped or she’ll get rid of you herself.

Showy/Proud: Being glamorous for show doesn’t mean she can’t be just as glittery and fabulous in her personal time. She enjoys looking flashy and she loves to be the life of the party. She’s just a gal looking for some fun on the side and hell, she loves company to join alongside her! Her love for entertainment is infectious, and she's quick to draw others in. Marcy thoroughly believes in having a little fun here and there when the opportunity arrives, she deserves it. She believes that she's reached the point in life, this high point, that she's suited to such luxuries. Just try to tell her otherwise and she’s quick to affirm her accomplishments thus far!

HISTORY

 (tl;dr Overcame body negativity* and built an empire for herself to rule.)

Marcy’s family was well-off and always has been; her mother being a very successful lawyer and her father a sales manager. Needless to say, she never had want for anything she didn’t already have. Well, almost anything. What she didn’t have that she wanted was a skinny little body. Being homeschooled throughout all of elementary school she hadn’t thought much about her weight or looks before. That all changed when she began middle level grades at a private school, after much convincing and begging her parents to allow her to transfer. She regretted ever wishing to be a ‘normal’ student after the first day. Simply put, she'd been lonely before. She thought that attending a private school would open more doors for her to make friends and such. What a rude awakening her first day at said school had been. On top of being the new girl she was dubbed humiliating names that jabbed at for her weight, and she learned of how much power a single word could have: Fat. That one, three-lettered word held so much harm and humiliation for her. Young Marcy desired to shed the pounds that plagued her self-esteem, and sure she did try dieting (or what a kid would consider dieting, like eating less sugars but nothing too complicated) and eating less, but her parents caught the signs quickly enough to help her through her troubles before it developed into anything worse. 

Middle school was hard, the bullying wasn't as bad as the years passed but it still bothered her. All the reassurances from mom and pop, and a small handful of friends, only went so far and that's when the gifts from her parents started coming in. First it was dolls and other trinkets, but soon Marcy was asking for makeup and hair supplies, clothes and accessories, anything that would help her transform her entire look. It wasn't long until she started a video blog online and recording makeup videos and such - and it quickly gained an impressive following. With her subscribers came waves of positive feedback and soon built up her confidence in her appearance. She was big but she also had such style and beauty! It was a feel good story to the viewers: A young overweight girl who powers through society's views on bodies and makes her own look! They loved her! 

When Marcy began high school she was a new person. Since her blog started she'd learned how to perfectly apply quite a selection of makeup and fashion her hair, her outfits were fabulously coordinated and she always looked on fleek! And above all else? She knew it. She didn’t take anything from anyone because she knew she was better than them all. She had money! She had beauty! She had the followers! And most of all she had the will. Back talking? Oh yeah she wasn’t afraid to fire right back. Taunts and bullying? Not anymore, she’d retaliate even harder. Marcy knew she had to have some venom in order to make it on top. She was done being the meek, fat girl. She was going to be the gorgeous, self-reliant, fat girl. Now being unafraid to bite back, Marcy developed a subtle but growing mean complex. After all, if she could beat anyone who even glanced at her funny to the punch first then she was the one in control. Marcy focused on herself and created her own clique of friends to share gossip and ally with, giving her enough dirt to keep her previous bullies in line. Soon enough people stopped bothering her so much. Her confidence didn’t go unnoticed by adults either; as she entered her senior year a talent scout grew interested in her style and thus the showbiz world had opened its doors to her. She began modeling for small clothing businesses and steadily climbed to more popular outlets and companies.

It wasn’t easy though. A career in beauty was hard enough to sustain for more than a year, but also being a plus-size model? Marcy had to claw her way on top. She knew how to put down other potential rivals (petty sabotage? easy!), she knew how to captivate the managers of every high-class gig (mommy and daddy's money sure caught a lot of attention), and most of all she absolutely wooed her audience (oh look at how powerful this young girl is! go her! who wouldn't want to be her?). This atmosphere fed her mindset that being 'mean' was the way to hold control over others, and she was clever enough to do it subtly away from the eyes that mattered. It wasn't an attractive strategy and she knew it, but that didn't mean it wasn't any less efficient and it certainly didn't mean she wasn't going to change. Through it all Marcy’s fan base grew and she used her past to help her along the way. She was an advocate of inner beauty and against bullying; she quickly became even more popular beyond her internet following. A ‘fat’ model who wasn’t ashamed of her body. Boy did she know how to charm and dazzle – she was Marceline Prim the super model! With the help of her parents and managers she was signed onto many contract deals: sponsorship, her own clothing line, a perfume scent, you name it she was on it.

Marcy was on top of the world, and she knew it.

Even though her face was on more and more fashion magazines, she knew she had to begin preparing herself for the future. After high school she took online college classes for a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and successfully graduated. Now in her mid-twenties, with the knowledge she had gained and experiences of her career, she knew that she could build up her little empire to be so much more. She already held a place in the social status quo! Who's to say she could make her own place in this kind of career space? Marcy wasn't just the face anymore, she was making her voice heard in the decision making! 

MASK ONE: CORONA

A few more years passed and her role in the industry grew higher, she had more than enough money to sustain herself comfortably and all the luxuries she could possibly desire. She lived for the catwalk and her voice was heard by all. Being a popular spokesperson she made an appearance at the peace rally that formed against the Mask Bill to share her opinion on the matter (Arc Event I). Masks were people too, people who were showing their own beauty in a different form! Literally! And to think others were trying to contain them or even outlaw them! And for what? Being different? What was wrong with that?

Once she gave her review and began to make her leave, something glinting on the ground caught her eye. Amongst a few stray paper masks that lay discarded on the ground of an alley she was passing by one in particular caught her eye. It didn’t look like a hand-made mask, it looked… different. She wanted it.

Once it was in her hands she had the urge to wear it. And once it was on she knew that her power would only grow even more from that day on.

OTHER

*She obtained her Furfrou after her career set off, they’re more for looks than companionship really; her pooches are tended to by hired caretakers or doggy school. But you better believe that Koko and Teddy get groomed regularly, and sport many different looks.

*Marcy’s casually looking into future career options, she’s aware that her modeling career and sponsorships will only last for so long. At the moment she knows she’s secure, so she doesn’t feel a need to rush anything right now.

*5’5”/ 218 pounds.

*She still has a fashion/daily blog where she posts pictures of her outfits, makeup tutorials, and hot spots she hangs at. It’s also a form of showing off her sponsors with makeup companies and such.

*Dropped all her friends in school the moment she began modeling because of how busy she got, and how much time she wasn't willing to spare. Most of the ‘friends’ she has now are connections that she can use.
